PARTLY TRUE, BUT MISLEADING. It is true that INEC is currently recruiting ad-hoc staff for 2026 FCT Area Council Elections. However, the website ‘okripeti.org’ is not the official or authorised INEC recruitment portal.

The information circulating typically appears as social media messages stating “INEC Adhoc Staff Recruitment Portal 2026 is now open. Apply here…” Followed by a link such as: [https://okripeti.org/Inec-ADhoc-Staff-Recruitment.html]

The information implies urgency and legitimacy, but does not originate from INEC.

VERIFICATION:

First, INEC has publicly warned Nigerians that the website okripeti.org/Inec-ADhoc-Staff-Recruitment.html is not affiliated with the Commission. INEC stated that any recruitment conducted outside its official platforms is unauthorised and fraudulent.
