A user on X, @spoiltkid has posted a video online with a super imposed caption stating “Ongoing TINUBU MUST GO! protest in Nyanya Abuja.”
Verdict:
False. There was no recent protest in Nyanya Abuja. The video attached to portray the protest is not recent.

A user on X, identified as @spoiltkid made a post that there was a protest in Nyanya Abuja on Saturday, September 19, 2026. According to the caption in the post, the user reported the alleged protest saying: “Ongoing TINUBU MUST GO! protest in Nyanya abuja.”
The claim appeared on Facebook here, here, and here by a prominent Nigerian named Isaac Fayose.

Reading through the comment section, a user named @Kilo_of_love claimed that the “protest was led by VDM on June 13 2026.
It’s an old video”.
Another user named @AnitieCosmas7 asked “Is this protest for real?”. Similarly, @NathAngashang asked “Is this a current protest?”. As a result of the doubts, FactCheckAfrica subjected the claim to verification.
Verification:
FactCheckAfrica took screenshots of the video at regular intervals and subjected it to google lens to trace the origin of the video. Findings revealed that the video had earlier appeared online since June as posted by a user named @RealQueenBee_ _ on the 28th day of the same month.
Another user on X, identified as @Chief_Ajijo, posted the same video on the 29th day of June.
Also, FactCheckAfrica conducted a keyword search on the phrase chanted in the video “Tinubu must go”, and findings discovered according to credible media outlet such as leadership newspaper, the cable, News Central confirmed that the protest occurred in June as a result of the Oriire school children kidnapping incidence.
Conclusion:
From findings gathered, FactCheckAfrica confirms that the video used to depict a protest in Nyanya Abuja is an old and recycled one. Additionally, there was no protest in Nyanya on the said date.
