DEBUNKED: Claim That Rufai Oseni Was Suspended by ARISE TV Is False!

A viral X post alleged that Rufai Oseni, a journalist and popular Morning Show anchor with Arise TV, has been suspended following an argument with his employer.

The claim is False. Rufai Oseni has, on his X post, denied being suspended, noting that he is currently on a working visit in Germany.

A rumour circulating online, linked to an X post by High Chief Lawrence Igbins Okoro, claimed that the Arise News anchor, Rufai Oseni, was suspended after an alleged altercation with his boss.

Reacting to the allegation, Oseni dismissed it as false. In a post on his X  account, he wrote, “I was not suspended. I am on a working visit to Germany.”

FALSE CLAIM

Oseni Rufai  described the claim as a fabrication, stating, “This is a lie. The man is lying.”

He  further urged members of the public to disregard the claim and report the account responsible for spreading it.

Findings by FactCheck Africa confirm that Oseni publicly denied the claim via his verified X account.

Conclusion:

The claim that Rufai Oseni was suspended by Arise TV is false. As the TV host himself has replied that he is on an official working visit abroad (German) at the time the rumour surfaced.
