BY: Eniola Amadu

Following the signing of the Peace Accord by presidential candidates of various political parties on August 18, 2026, at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, political campaigns ahead of the 2027 general election commenced 24 hours later, on August 19 2026.

The commencement marked the beginning of the implementation of various political strategies by the parties to win the support of Nigerian citizens as voters.

Amongst these strategies can be said to be what played out  at the flag off of the Presidential and National Assembly (NASS) campaign in Ogun State on August 28, 2026 across three federal constituencies in Ogun Central senatorial district in Ogun State.

This claim has begun circulating as social media actors has leveraged it to push political narratives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The claim is found on Facebook here, and on X, as posted by a user named @Iyoaiye_.

Verdict:

According to evidence gathered, Amosun did not endorse LADI as his candidate. The man in the video circulating is Ajiri Omooye as he called himself, known by name as Musibau Adepegba.
