A former media aide to erstwhile president, Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad posted an image on his official X account, attributing it to Kano State.
The post which was captioned “This part of Kano is so clean” garnered 364 reposts, 233 quotes and over 4k likes.

Verification
FactCheckAfrica subjected the image to a reverse image search on Google Lens, the result showed that contrary to Ahmad’s claim, the image is not from Kano.
According to a post made by Naif Saudi on X, the image in question is from Al-Shatea district in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Our finding was also corroborated by X’s Community Notes post debunking Ahmad’s claim.

Conclusion
Based on findings and Community Notes’ post debunking the claim, it can be concluded that the image was wrongly attributed to Kano by Ahmad.
