A phishing link has gone viral with the intent of deceiving unsuspecting members into believing that BUA Group is currently conducting a recruitment exercise in order to extort money from them.

At first glance, (https://lyupz.com/BUA-JOBS-RECRUITMENT2023)
this link may appear to be from BUA Group; however, clicking on it redirects you to a fraudulent page that has no affiliation with BUA Group.

Verification:

FactCheckAfrica traced the official feedback to this claim and found that BUA Group issued a statement via another link other than their website, (https://buagroup.com/vacancies/) refuting the allegation, categorizing it as a fraudulent job vacancy scheme.

In the disclaimer, it was clearly stated: “The attention of BUA Group has been drawn to the activities of some fraudsters promising unsuspecting members of the public job opportunities in a purported recruitment exercise by BUA Group via a fraudulent link.”

Thus, advising that members of the public, particularly unsuspecting applicants should be wary of fraudulent online job opportunities purportedly by BUA Group as anyone who entertains such invitation or deals does so at his or her own risk.
